"In pursuit of a woman who rejected him because of his looks, Silas used Saint-Victor's compound, which allowed the user to reconfigure his features as imagination willed. In the fugue state the drug induced, however, he wandered out into a forest and gazed at an old oak tree, and it was this image his softening features took as inspiration."
The above may be untrue... (Created using a 3D model of a human head I made in Cinema 4D, which I then manipulated in photoshop. Textures are from my personal photo collection).
